"We purchased our first boat from Bethel in 2000, an Odyssey pontoon. In 2006 we were at the Cincinnati boat show and saw the South Bay pontoon at the Bethel display. We just had to have one. The quality of this pontoon is like no other we had seen. It is truly a standout out boat on the lake. We had put approx. 550 miles per year on it and use it for over nighters. We love it. The people of Bethel, based upon our previous experience, made it an easy and painless experience to purchase this boat and you can not beat the service. "

"This is an update after our first summer with our new Rinker 260 EC. I am happy to report that our first boating season was a lot of fun. We had very few issues and they mainly centered around getting to know the boat and how the systems operated. We put about 70 hours on the boat and slept on it numerous times. (About 20 nights- Family of 5- 2 adults and 3 8 year olds) My concerns about towing the boat were unfounded and I actually towed the boat to the 1000 Islands in Upstate NY a trip of 10.5 hours each way at an average speed of 57 mph and 10.5 mpg on my Suburban. After that trip we put the boat on Lake Erie for a month. I was pleasantly surprised how it handled 3 ft seas and was also happy with the gas consumption. If you are looking for a new boat that can be trailed and gives a great deal of comfort I would still reccomend this model. The only thing I wish I had added was a windlass and possibly a generator. Bethel Marine was always there for us and answered all our questions. In other words, our family is very happy with the decsion we made on the manufacturer (Rinker, the model, 260 EC, and the dealer (Bethel Marine). Despite gas prices and ecomonic fears the decision to buy a boat has given our family a great summer and we actually proably saved money by not staying in hotels or flying to other destinations. Instead of a week or two concentrated vacation we got a whole summer of fun. Happy Boating! FY Options we are glad we got: Air conditioning!! "After hitting the Ohio boat show circuit for 2 years our family made the decision to buy a 260 EC Rinker. Bethel Marine was our choice because of the patient and understanding way they handled the sale. They answered all our questions over a 2 month period and did not pressure us. When we picked up the boat they were extremely thorough and took us out for a demo which lasted 3.5 hours. There were a couple small things that needed correcting (some I caused myself) and Brad in service handled them immediately and fairly. I was a little nervous about the purchase but I have to tell you that Bethel has held my hand every step of the way and allowed me to just go out and enjoy boating with the family. I can think of a dozen other industries that could take a sales and service lesson from these folks. Just hope they let me stand on the floor of one of the boat shows so I can tell my story. "The people at Bethel Marine are helpful, courteous and ready to show you things about boating, without making you feel unintelligent. No question has ever been silly to them and no matter how busy they are they make time to meet their customers needs. Steve, Kent and Brad are wonderful. They took the time to show me the ins and outs of boating. It doesn't matter if your a new boater or an expert boater they will listen to what you want and put you in the boat that is right for you, without pressure.
